Vobra Veghel

History Vobra

The Vobra Group is a fully independent family business. It came about thanks to the efforts of Mr Piet van Krieken. He founded the company, which initially only produced farm animal feed products, back in 1932. Piet’s son Gerard took over the company in 1963 and changed its name to VOBRA (Voederfabriek Oost BRAbant), which is the name we still use today.
In 1973, the company started to produce cat and dog food and gradually began to phase out the production of farm animal feed. Since 1975, the company only produces cat and dog food. A new plant was built for this in Loosbroek in 1984. Construction work on a second plant with a storage facility on the "de Dubbelen" industrial estate in Veghel was started in 2001. This plant became operational in May 2002. Vobra took over Wielco B.V. in 2006. Wielco produces pressed dog foods as well as single and compound fish bait. More detailed information on Wielco B.V. is available further on in this brochure.

Mission Vobra

Our mission consists of developing, producing and marketing top-quality pet foods. We look for long-term customer relationships (partnerships) for the marketing of these products. Moreover we want to be regarded as an important supplier of cat and dog food: a trendsetter rather than a trend follower. We are associated with quality, exclusiveness, flexibility and reliability both at home and abroad.
