Efficacy
SANIMED Weight Control is low in available fat and high in crude fibre and
therefore has a low energy density. The calculated energy density is 1191 kJ
metabolizable energy per 100 g of diet (284 kcal/100 g). Thus, for a set amount
of energy to be supplied, more weight of food can be provided when compared
to other types of diet (Table 5). The low energy value and the filling property of
SANIMED Weight Control contribute to the maintenance of body weight.
SANIMED Weight Control can be used for dogs with tendency towards overweight
and is suitable as a follow-up to a weight-loss regimen using SANIMED
Weight Reduction.
