Junior
Efficacy
SANIMED Junior is tailored to the decreasing nutritional requirements of juniors of all breeds. The growth rate decreases during the junior phase. The sources of proteins, fats and carbohydrates in SANIMED Junior are of high quality, and as a result, the nutrients are better digested and defecation improves.
The fatty acid composition of SANIMED Junior is comparable with that of SANIMED Puppy. For SANIMED junior it also applies that the fatty acid composition has a positive influence on the condition of the skin and coat, the immune function and the cognitive ability.
In the period of growth associated with juniors there is still a risk for the development of disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially for animals of larger breeds. SANIMED Junior has a low calcium content (0.43 g/MJ). This content is however more than sufficient for the skeletal development which is still active. The ratio of calcium and phosphorus is 1:29. The body condition of the junior determines, to a large extent, their life expectancy.
The condition depends on food intake and, to a lesser extent, on movement. An ideal body condition increases the animal’s lifespan and reduces the risk of the most significant diseases. An individual dog should be fed SANIMED Junior in such an amount that their ideal condition is achieved and main-tained.
