Dry food and moist food
SANIMED Renal is available as complete dry food and as complete moist food in pouches and cans. The three product forms are formulated so that they have an identical, effective composition. The three foods have the same contents of phosphorus, protein, sodium, potassium, arachidonic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid. salmon oil and borage oil when these contents are expressed per unit of food energy. This also holds for the contents of calcium, magnesium, chloride, sulphur and the vitamines A, D3 and E. The base excess is identical for Sanimed Renal in dry and moist form. Therefore, the urinary pH also is identical for the three Renal foods, namely on average 6.8. Per unit of energy eaten, a cat will ingest with the dry form of SANIMED Renal identical amounts of effective components as with the moist variant. Thus, SANIMED Renal as dry and moist food are fully exchangeable without compromising the efficacy of dietary treatment.
