Dry food and moist food
SANIMED Anti-Struvite is available as complete dry food and as complete moist food in pouches and cans. The three product forms are formulated so that they have an identical, effective composition. The three foods have the same contents of magnesium, phosphorus and protein when these contents are expressed per unit of food energy. This also holds for the contents of calcium, sodium, potassium, chloride, sulphur, eicosapentaenoic acid and the vitamines A, D3 and E. The negative base excess is identical for Sanimed Anti-Struvite in dry and moist form. Therefore, the urinary pH also is identical for the three Anti-Struvite foods, namely on average 6.2. Per unit of energy eaten, a cat will ingest with the dry form of SANIMED Ant-Struvite identical amounts of effective components as with the moist variant. Thus, SANIMED Anti-Struvite as dry and moist food are fully exchangeable without compromising the efficacy of dietary treatment.
